SAT
The SAT Reasoning Test is the leading college entrance board examination that is recommended for application to many of the nation’s leading institutions of higher learning. The SAT is administered by the College Board.
- We are experts at working with students of varying needs on all sections of the SAT, including those receiving special accommodations from the College Boards and those shooting for perfect scores.
- The tutor designs and helps execute a strategic, weekly plan leading up to the exam that engages and empowers the student.

SAT Subject Tests
The SAT Subject Tests are administered by the College Board and are an opportunity for a student to demonstrate erudition in a specific subject. Colleges usually require submission of two Subject Tests; some recommend one in a humanities-related field and one in a math/science field in order to see versatility in a student’s academic ability. Some colleges require that three Subject Tests be submitted for admission.

Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams are the tests which cover extensive, college-level coursework. AP exams are offered the first two weeks of May and are an excellent indicator of a student’s ability to perform at a high level in college courses. Colleges look favorably on these tests because of their breadth, and, therefore, these exams are a means of enhancing a college application. Having the equivalent of four full-year AP exams also qualify students to place out of a portion of college or at least place out of introductory college courses.

SSAT/ISEE
The SSAT and ISEE are the tests for secondary school admission required by secondary schools. The Butler Method offers a package of tutoring that helps students prepare in an efficient way that not only builds their scores but also builds their confidence as test takers in the process.
